1. Conditions of Engagement

The terms and conditions of the appointment of Anthony Watson Chartered Architect will be in accordance with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Standard Form of Project Conditions for the apointment of an architect. 

2. Fees

Fees are negociated and are included in the appointment letter. When fees are calculated on a percentage basis, this is based on a final construction cost of the project (excluding VAT) 

3. Time charges

Hourly time charges provide the basis for estimating fixed lump sum fees. These include all administration and other overheads. Open ended time charges will only be applied where the nature of the work dictates and these will be agreed in writing prior to commencement.

4. Expenses and disbursements
Unless otherwise agreed, out of pocket expenses are charged in addition to fees. 

5. Ordnance Survey Plans
All planning and building regulations applications need a site plan which are obtainable from Ordnance Survey. Costs for these are not included and will be charged at cost to the client. Alternatively they can be supplied by the client for use with the relevant application. 

6. Payment terms

Fees will be invoiced monthly, or at completion of project stages as set out in the letter of appointment. 
All fees relating to planning and building regulation applications must be paid in full prior to any applications being submitted. 
Settlement is due immediately. Invoices not paid within 14 days of issue will attract interest as detailed on the fee invoice.
